ReVeritgo is a Southern California U2 tribute band consisting of seasoned musicians with decades of stage experience. ReVertigo takes great care and effort in developing an unmistakable replication of the sounds and performance of U2. Simply stated, ReVertigo is the ultimate tribute to U2.
ReVertigo is available for hire in Southern California and in local regions both within and without California.
Alex Rivas - Vocals/Guitar
Alex has been influenced by music’s greatest heroes since picking up a mini-guitar at the age of 5 and strumming it on stage in church. By age 8, he was a paid wedding singer. Alex played a bit of piano but fell in love with the guitar. Alex was bitten by the performing bug playing in bands during high school and in the Southern California area after college.
One of Alex’s first concerts was U2’s legendary Zoo TV 1992 tour at Dodger Stadium; he has been a voracious fan ever since. Watching Bono strut on stage and witnessing U2's powerful music and unparalleled showmanship bring the house down, he knew then and there he would become a performer.
Alex became ReVertigo's front man after responding to a message on a musician webpage. Alex knew this was his shot to pay tribute to his greatest inspiration and influence.
Alex’s taste in artists include U2, Queen, Deftones, Radiohead, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Smashing Pumpkins, and many others. His hobbies include appreciating fine scotch, recording original songs, travelling, spending time with friends, going to concerts, and geeking out on music gear and guitars.
David Arriola - Guitar/Vocals
David has been a U2 fan since 1982 when he saw them on MTV. He's played guitar since age 18 and is fascinated with the Edge's guitar style and use of effects. David brings the same magic and excitement to ReVertigo performances. His ultimate "Desire" is to take ReVertigo fans on a U2 musical journey.
Fun Fact: David's wife is also a huge U2 fan, something they've enjoyed together through the years.
Bryant Ireland - Bass
Bryant began playing the bass guitar as a teenager and joined up with a band called Vintura when he was in high school. They covered popular rock alternative music of the 80’s and 90’s and recorded an EP of original songs which they blended into their live performances.
Fast forwarding to more recent years, Bryant has been a member of several bands and brings years of experience to the stage. Bryant is the backbone of the band not just in the thumping of his bass, but in the formation of ReVertigo.
Jim Walmer - Drums
Jim's earliest memory of drumming was blasting on a set of his mother's pots and pans to the music of the Doors. Beginning a musical journey in elementary school, he played drums in concert, jazz, and marching bands. Later in life, he picked up hand drums to connect with his Cuban roots.
Jim has played the drums for several bands which included music that covered popular rocks hits and original music. Known as the barefooted, bearded, blaster of beats, Jim brings years of live performance experience to the stage.
